The Warehouse - Adam! @ 02:02 pm

[info]rycolton, posting in [info]safeandsane:
Of course Ryan had made an appointment to do some Christmas shopping at the Warehouse. Wouldn't have it any other way.

What he didn't expect, however, was to see that guy walk into the section he was in, while he was looking through cuffs and wondering which pair Beth would like best. He blinked, then cocked a hip against the display stand and smiled slowly, hands in his jeans pockets. "Way you dance, I should've known I'd end up running into you on this scene, too."

River walked up to Fox with tub of ice cream, two bowls and two spoons in her arms. "Boys are weird," she announced. "Come eat ice cream and watch something with me? But not something with predominately sexually explicit content, please, because that would just be confusing at this juncture. Please?" she repeated.

Doyle @ 10:42 pm

[info]boywhore, posting in [info]oregonal_sin:
He'd hesitated. A lot. Thought about God, and Brother Dan, and wondered why Doyle wasn't coming anymore and nobody had news and eventually, he plucked up enough courage to venture outside while it was still day, after school should end if there was school despite the flu, and go knock on Doyle's door. He had the Poe book in his hands and was fidgeting. A lot.

The Doctor had been to many, many places. He'd go so far as to say no one in the universe was as widely travelled as he was, would stake the contents of his pockets on it (and the contents of a Time Lord's pockets can be a very, very interesting thing) if it came to it. He'd travelled high and low, far and wide, had been to worlds that would simply blow the minds of most and places that were the very height of dull. What he hadn't ever been was stuck. At least, never for this long. His brilliant mind working ten to the dozen had saved him from many scrapes in his time, but even he couldn't think, force or charm his way out of this place.

Regardless, he wasn't about to admit defeat. Nor would he ever say he was trapped here, oh no. There was obviously a reason for his being here; something that only he could do to fix it, to put things right. Something that he could only manage with the realisation of his true power. Yes, there was an explanation for everything. Because this place needed fixing, this place was fundamentally broken - any world where the Master could run free, as he'd seen with his own two eyes, was damaged in an exceptional way.

He'd stayed in his TARDIS, mostly; running tests, seeking answers, lashing out at her on occasions and dashing from room to room on others, as if inspiration always lay just behind another door. God knows he could spent an eternity running her corridors, but he did so with the determination of a man who knew he could do anything and that the answer was very definitely his to find.

It was late when he finally chose to emerge from the police box, could've known the time to the millisecond if he'd been focusing, but his mind was still very much elsewhere. He needed air, that was it. Just a little air to cool the whirring machine of his brain and then he'd find the answer.

It was about 10 days after the failed scene and Ven had finally gotten Ryan to agree to meet him to talk about it. He'd had to press the other man for days but Ven could be stubborn when he needed to be.

He looked up when Ryan walked in, gave a relieved sigh and stood to greet him. "Hey," he said with a smile. "Glad you made it." And yes, part of him thought maybe Ryan would decide not to come.

Ushas was peering at a pot of begonias, in the hotel lobby. Definitely not Gallifreyian in orgin. She turned to the first person she saw said, "Do you know what species of plant that is?" Pause. "And the name of this building, if it has one?"

She, of course, had no idea where she was. She had been gathering plant specimens, having snuck out in the evening with her friends, turned to call out to Theta, and...She wasn't about to let on she was alone, lost, and vulnerable. Not yet.

Is it strange to ask someone who owns a coffee shop out for coffee? If so, how do you feel about sushi?

Hi! It's Andrew. I was wondering if you'd be available for a few minutes, maybe a cup of coffee sometime before Friday night. I realize you may still have exams or a crazy work load. I meant to call sooner, but I kind of lost track of the date. Luckily I was just freed from the last exam of the semester today. So, call back when you get the chance! Hope you're well.

This time of year, Harry was seen around town even more often than usual. Normally, he had a bundle of carefully (if plainly-wrapped) packages in hand as he made deliveries he figured the few boys who worked at the store shouldn't be trusted with.

Packages delivered, he rambled slowly back to the store, hands in his pockets and whistling a merry tune.

Look, can you PLEASE tell Mum that I won't be coming back for Christmas? I'll be there for New Year but God knows if I can even get to Denver at the moment, there's rather a lot of snow going on.

Still not pregnant. Yes, Pete IS still around. No, you can punch him yourself.

Tuesdays meant a morning away from the salon - an entire day away, actually, but Adam's preferred way of spending a morning was in bed, either alone or with company. Since this morning had been shamefully alone, the urge to linger longer was lesser, and he was out, flicking through CD cases in a darling little store that he'd discovered shortly after moving to Boulder.

He sighed, glanced up, and caught the eye of the man standing near the counter - the man with the delightfully flamboyant dress sense. "Do you have anything that wasn't here last week?"

"I hate the cold," Alex complained out loud after walking into the club, and its common area. She took off her quirky yet fashionable hat, and hung it up before pulling her leather gloves off. She folded them before putting them away in a pocket of her long leather coat. "Cold that's this cold, anyway. Takes a lot of creativity away from dressing when you have to wear that many layers." She paused, and started unbuttoning her coat, and cheerfully concluded, "Then again, it can be seen as a challenge."

Romana looked fairly chipper. Almost glowy, actually. It was a quite a turn, and seemed sudden to her too, but she'd slept a lot and decided not to question her good mood. She said brightly to the next person she saw, "Would you care for company with a meal?"

She might was well enjoy being fit to be around people.

Simon had a day off. Riley was still in work and wouldn't be home until later, so he'd taken the chance to head out to the club to hang out there for a little while. He grabbed a beer and settled on the couch, sitting back with a contented smile. It was a little while later when he noticed someone close by - and then grinned. "Jack?" he called out after a moment, once he was sure. "That you?"

The Doctor was at a flat out run, barreling around a corner, and ran *right* into some one. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. Did you see a woman coming this way? Blonde hair, blue eyes? Where did she go?" he asked, looking around wildly, before he met the eyes of the person he'd smacked into.

[info]carl_stevens, posting in [info]safeandsane:

No one was exactly happy about it, but Carl had booked his days off, packed his stuff up, locked the door and headed for the nearest Greyhound station. He hadn't been joking when he'd said he'd find a way to get to Lin if Lin called, if Lin needed him there. Of course, he was never going to just appear and make trouble for him or anything, but since he'd gotten the okay, Carl had no other reason to wait.

Several long hours and bus changes later, and he arrived at the station. The heat slammed into him as the doors opened and he took a few moments to just breathe as he stepped off the bus, and then he was looking around for Lin.

[info]stuartmontague, posting in [info]safeandsane:

Well, this rather was like meeting the in-laws, wasn't it, Stuart thought as he found a space to park. Not that he had much experience in that field, but really.

Still, he walked up to the bell, rang it and idly wondered if he should've brought something.

Bella did not understand.

She'd woken up in a strange hotel room from one of her usual nightmares (they were usual, by now), and nobody would give her any answers. Not even the cat people, who made her think she was still dreaming. A very vivid dream, an odd one without Edward. She walked through the strange streets, feeling panic swell up in her chest as she could not fight the conviction that this was much worse than a dream. Much more real.

Oh, if only Edward were here, but he'd left. He'd left her.

She stopped dead in her tracks when she spotted the vampire. Unmistakable, with his marble skin and perfect features, the grace of his movements. She wanted to rush to him, yet something held her back. Not all vampires were like her Edward.

Charlie rode back into town with a considerably fatter purse than he'd left it with. Perfectly timed trail that had been, to get out of town when the 'fluenza hit, and a nice bounty to collect at the end, which wasn't exactly negligible.

It had even given him some trouble, which was always a pleasant surprise.

He stopped in front of the boarding house, but did not dismount, rather turning to the person closest to him. "Howdy. 'Fluenza still wreaking havoc in town?"
